Abstract

 This research aims to study the most prominent formal functions in poetry - specifically in the poems collected in the book of the Fatimids - and their relationship and the extent of their connection with the poet's memory. The researcher chose (similarity, metaphor, and metonymy); Being the most widely used of the Fatimid poets, it formed a prominent phenomenon in their poetry, and this research attempts to rely on the poet's memory in choosing these linguistic methods and not others.
