The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of human resources practices in its dimensions (Recruitment and Selection, Training and Development, Performance Appraisal, Compensation and Reward) in enhancing the organization's competitive strategy in its dimensions (Low Cost Strategy, Differentiation Strategy, Focus Strategy). This study relied on the (Descriptive-Analytical) approach to analyze the nature of the relationship between the research variables. The questionnaire was used as the main tool in collecting data. The researcher chose the intentional sample, as this study was applied to the leaders of the private National University of Science and Technology in Dhi Qar, where (72) questionnaires were distributed to the study sample at the university, the number of returned ones was (71), while the number of valid ones for statistical analysis was (70) questionnaires. The researcher used the appropriate statistical programs in the study based on the study hypotheses, sample and objective, namely (SPSS) and (Smart PLS) in addition to Excel (2007). The importance of the study lies in bridging the knowledge gap in the literature on the relationship between human resource management practices and an organization's competitive strategy, as well as in identifying the nature of the relationship and influence between human resource management practices and an organization's competitive strategy.
The researcher reached the following conclusions: The study variables (human resource management practices, competitive strategy) are concepts that continue to be of great importance to organizations. They vary from time to time and from one organization to another, as well as from the sector in which the organization operates. The education sector is also considered an important and sensitive sector that has a direct impact on the lives of society.
As for the field conclusions, the study variables received sufficient attention at the National University of Science and Technology in Dhi Qar Governorate. A positive and significant correlation was found between human resource management practices and an organization's competitive strategy, as well as a significant positive influence between human resource management practices and an organization's competitive strategy.
