Abstract

This research aims to know the role of the six thinking hats in reducing organizational ignorance at the Sulaimani Technical Institute and to determine the correlation and influence relationship between the six thinking hats through (types of the six thinking hats) as an independent variable and organizational ignorance with its dimensions represented by (complexity, uncertainty, ambiguity, and vagueness) as a dependent variable. The research relied on the descriptive analytical approach. The research problem revolved around a number of questions, including what is the role of the six thinking hats in reducing organizational ignorance. To achieve the research goal, a number of hypotheses were formulated, including the existence of a correlation and influence relationship between the six thinking hats and organizational ignorance. In order to achieve the research objectives, the researchers used the questionnaire form as the main tool for collecting data and information. The research sample included faculty members at the Sulaimani Technical Institute, where (80) questionnaire forms were distributed randomly and (67) questionnaire forms were obtained, valid for analysis using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS-Version 26). The results showed the existence of a negative inverse correlation between the six thinking hats and organizational ignorance among a sample of faculty members at the institute. The study indicates that the more the institute focuses on six thinking hats, the less organizational ignorance there is. One of the most important recommendations of the study is to increase the institute’s efforts to help teachers acquire the required contemporary skills through an increase in training courses and the development of scientific and practical skills.
