Digital transformation and its impact on achieving high performance for public sector organizations in Iraq

The current study seeks to illustrate the extent of adoption of digital transformation in the Karbala Health Directorate, emphasizing its prominent status and the advantages it brings to the organization under investigation, as well as its direct association with the enhancement of overall performance. In order to gather the necessary data and information, a questionnaire was utilized as a tool for data collection, with the community of the Karbala Health Directorate in the province of Karbala being the setting for the research.. The research sample encompassed 137 employees from various departments within the Directorate. The study utilized statistical programs such as SMART PLS and SPSS V26 to examine its assumptions. The main variable of the research, digital transformation, was operationalized by its dimensions, specifically digital transformation strategy, digital transformation culture, human dimension, procedural dimension, and technical dimension.. As for the dependent variable, it was operationalized through high performance and its dimensions, including management quality, continuous improvement, employee quality, long-term orientation, and open and action-oriented culture. The study established a significant correlation and impact of digital transformation on organizational high performance. Furthermore, the study put forth various recommendations, including the promotion of future research on the implementation of digital transformation in achieving organizational high performance and enhancing individual and exceptional performance.
