Abstract

The concept of poetics was mentioned in the investigations of Western critics within cultural and critical contexts, which are very different and different, which indicates the diversity of its fields, the multiplicity of its aspects, and the difficulty of confining it to a specific aspect. From this point of view, the concept of poetics is related to both oral and written discourse, and it was not limited to poetry, but rather included all forms of literature, and not only that, but all of that was permitted to relate to forms of art in general, as long as the tongues limited it to expressing the poetic function and its relationship to the various linguistic functions, perhaps the most important achievement he achieved. Todorov, on the level of literary and critical studies, is confined to the concept of poetics, which is meant by a set of laws through which literature is studied, and those laws are what determine the literaryness of literature, and therefore the main task of those laws is to reveal the specific characteristics that distinguish literary discourse, and not It is concerned with studying the mechanisms of discourse or the constituent elements of literature, and poetics according to Todorov is not an independent science in itself, but is related to various forms of literature, whether prose or poetry, as poetics does not work in isolation from the rest of the other sciences, but rather uses them and intersects with them. However, the poetic aspect of his tended towards the structural application, and at the same time it extended to the field of literature science. This study seeks, taking advantage of the structural approach in its two branches, formal and formative, to shed light on the poetics of language in the poems of Ibn Hammad al-Adawi al-Ghadiriya according to Todorov's poetic theory. Todorov's theory of cognitive narration is suitable for it, and the results of the study indicate that the narrative structure of Ghadiriya poems depends on one main event, and this event is put together in the same order. Major poems related to the Ghadir incident, which have 445 suggestions, and 83 of the sentences are news, the obligatory sentences 5/15% of the sentence, and the developmental sentences representing 8% of the sentence.
