Abstract

When talking about a final summary of the methodology that Mr. Ali Tabataba’i went through in the book of the tagged Riyad al-Mattal, we find that he used in the process of deriving the legal rulings all the four evidences (the Qur’an, Sunnah, consensus, and reason) as I use fundamentalist, juristic, and male rules in devising the Shariah. As we have emerged in his methodology, which was known among the jurists, which is that he was very cautious in what he puts forward from a legitimate position, or adopted from a juristic opinion In addition to the foregoing, we find that Mr. Tabatabaei employed some of the sciences in devising the Sharia ruling, as in determining the direction of the qiblah by means of the body’s laws, which is the old name for astronomy. Perhaps among the most important features of his juristic approach is that we have its dependence on some jurisprudential and interpretative sources that are the subject of disagreement among Shiite scholars Satisfaction attributed to Imam Reza (peace be upon him) was also relied on in the resources of interpreting the verses on the interpretation of Imam al-Askari attributed to Imam al-Hassan al-Askari (peace be upon him). Based on these foundations in the methodology of the Book of Riyadh, the book seemed distinguished in that it was on one format in terms of the capacity of offering and the depth of reasoning in both acts of worship and transactions. With the abundance of juristic sources that he adopted. As a result, it was clear that the book was based on reasoning and not merely conveying jurisprudence0
