Promoting New Conceptions Of Assessment Methods In Language Teaching

The paper directs attention to the different assessment methods. The aim of the study is draw more educational attention to the assessment methods in order to shift the emphasis from the traditional concept of assessment to a new concept in assessment. A qualitative case study orientation was used to collect data in the form of classroom observations, interviews and field notes. The assessment methods and concepts of three participants are investigated and evaluated. According to the findings, there is a need to transform the traditional conceptions and methods of assessment.
