Musical formation in the poetry of Muhammad Rida AL- Shabibi

This research focuses on the musical formation in the poetry of Muhammad Rida al-Shabibi, identifying the Arabic poetic meters that this poet utilized in his poetic purposes. It also examines the rhetorical arts he employed, which contain within them a musical energy that supports and strengthens the external music of the text, achieving textual cohesion in his poetic texts.
This research consists of an introduction, a preface, and two chapters. The first deals with external music, which includes two components: poetic meter and rhyme. The second chapter examines internal music through five diverse arts that had a clear impact on the musical formation in Muhammad Rida al-Shabibi's poetry. These arts are: repetition, alliteration, the repetition of the second half of the line, the staccato, and antithesis.
