The texts of the Holy Quran are valid for all times, from the creation of humankind until the Day of Resurrection. Based on this, we find that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and his pure family were the first to call for the preservation and protection of human rights and dignity. Therefore, the best source of guidance is the pure progeny of the Prophet, due to the inherent connection between the Quranic text and the narrations of the Prophet's family. They are the best source of guidance, as evidenced by the Hadith of the Two Weighty Things (the Book of God and my family, the People of my House). This research aims to give this topic the attention and utmost care it deserves, given the current state of affairs where people are experiencing the loss of rights and the violation of human dignity. In these circumstances, we have no recourse but to refer to and submit to the Holy Quran, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and his pure family, as they are the advocates and protectors of human rights and dignity.
The purpose of this research is to highlight the profound importance of human rights and the widespread disregard for them that humanity as a whole is experiencing. This disregard stems from the lack of due attention given to these rights by leaders and rulers, and a departure from the teachings of the Holy Quran and the Ahlul-Bayt (the Prophet's family). The most important sources relied upon are the Holy Quran, the narrations of the infallible Imams, and Nahjul Balagha, which is considered the true constitution after the Holy Quran. Had its teachings been implemented, life would have been transformed. Therefore, this research concludes that it is essential to uphold human rights and dignity and strive to preserve them. This is the most important principle advocated by the Holy Quran, upon which the caliphate on Earth is based.
