This research dealt with the efficiency of the spatial distribution of health services in Al-Muthanna Governorate. It dealt with the analysis of the current spatial distribution of health services in the governorate and the extent of their efficiency and suitability and the needs of the population for them by comparing them with the planning standards for these services globally and in Iraq to find out the extent of efficiency or incapacity with an indication of the future need for them using systems technology Geographical information GIS, and this study worked to identify the places of shortage and develop current and future solutions by presenting a proposal that includes a better spatial distribution that suits the needs of the population. There is no doubt that the results of the study help the competent authorities and decision makers in taking appropriate steps that will develop and raise the level of health in the governorate The study was based on the use of the questionnaire form to measure indicators of the efficiency of health institutions. (1516) questionnaires were distributed as a random sample to the auditors of health institutions. The increase requires work to increase health institutions and medical staff in accordance with their size
