Abstract

In view of the role of the Ahl al-Bayt () and the importance of their position in the interpretation and elucidation of the meaning of the Quranic verses, this research aims to extract the approach that distinguished the Ahl al-Bayt () in dealing with the Quranic verses; By reconsidering their interpretative views that provide us with the correct understanding of the verses and the text of the Qur’an. Knowing the meanings of words is one of the most important tools needed to express the goals of the Qur’an and one of the necessary conditions for revealing the meanings of God’s words, keeping us away from misunderstandings and frightening corridors, and unmasking its secrets. On this basis, this article deals with a group of narrations in which the linguistic notes were found in the first fifteen volumes in Shiite interpretations such as Al-Burhan, Nour Al-Thaqlain, and Al-Durr Al-Manthur interpretation of the Sunnis; The study dealt with extracting, classifying and reporting the narrations of Ahl al-Bayt () on the justification of naming words. This research relied on libraries to collect information and used the descriptive-analytical approach in evaluating them. One of the most important results that I obtained is that most of what was narrated from Ahl al-Bayt () in explaining and revealing the faces of naming in proper names or in launching Qur’anic vocabulary is justified by reasons of small and large derivation, and they sometimes explain the origin of the language according to their tasteful opinions, and this is the method that is specific to them, and sometimes they look for the naming bug in the metaphor.
