Abstract

Death is one of the mysterious phenomena that man has always tried to solve. The human soul has faced many challenges and experienced deep anxiety in its struggle between existence and non-existence, eternity and death. Literature and poets have also dealt with the phenomenon of death from different dimensions, and death is feared only by those who have lofty and sacred ideals. And they gladly welcome it, because according to the teachings of monotheistic religions and mystical approaches, death is not nothingness and destruction, but a new and eternal life. In this research, using the analytical descriptive approach, we try to answer the following questions based on a comparative study of the effects of death in the poems of Abd al-Wahhab Bayati and Sohrab Sepehri. 1- What is the opinion of Abd al-Wahhab al-Bayati and Sohrab Sepehri about death? poets? In short, what emerges in the poetry of the two poets is a mystical view of life in an unstable life, based on great mystics such as Rumi and Ibn Arabi, and as a result, the two poets ignore death, and they do not consider it the end of life and nothingness, but an escape from earth to a pure world.
