Poetry in the so-called dark era does not all describe sterility, vulgarity, and poor structure, as claimed by some inattentive scholars, or those who proceed from ideological premises opposed to this poetry and its people, trying by all means to underestimate its status and issue general judgments on it. The study of the poetry of Mr. Sadiq al-Fahham (1124 AH - 1205 AH) alone is sufficient to refute these hasty rulings and amend them in a way that is consistent with the truth of this giving, which we see clearly in the keenness of the poets of that era on the integrity of their language, its loftiness, and its accuracy in the provisions of eloquence and rhetoric. These poets were receiving the language from its pure source - the Holy Qur’an And the honorable hadith and the authentic Arab heritage - and that is why you find their poetry of no less status than their ancestors, even if it was dominated by some imitation
