A study in contemporary Imami jurisprudence

Abstract

This research examines the controls on women's work in contemporary reality from an Islamic jurisprudential perspective. It aims to define the legal framework regulating women's work in light of modern social and economic changes. The research relies on legal controls on mixing between men and women, the necessity of adhering to Islamic dress code, and the balance between family and work duties, scheduling specific timetables, and avoiding disruption to family life. The research problem is the need to reconcile the requirements of the modern era with Islamic constants regarding women's work, especially given the multiple challenges they face in the workplace. The research also seeks to achieve several objectives, the most important of which are: identifying the established legal controls on women's work, examining how to apply them in contemporary reality, highlighting the challenges facing working women under these controls, and proposing practical legal solutions. The importance of the research stems from its combination of jurisprudential authenticity and contemporary realism, offering a balanced vision and consideration of societal needs and developments. It is expected that the research results will contribute to providing a reference framework for researchers and those interested in women's and work issues. It can also serve as a basis for developing work policies that comply with Islamic law and meet contemporary requirements
