This research examines the interpretation of the verses on the cosmos in the Holy Quran from a comparative analytical perspective, comparing the interpretations of Shi'a scholars, particularly those specializing in intellectual, philosophical, and scientific commentaries, with the findings of contemporary cosmologists. It attempts to connect the Quranic discourse on the cosmos with modern scientific facts. The research traces the concept and classification of these verses, analyzes selected examples of them in light of the commentaries of al-Tabarsi and al-Mizan by al-Tabataba'i, among others, and then compares them with modern scientific discoveries in fields such as the Big Bang theory, the expansion of the universe, black holes, and the precision of the cosmic order.
The research also focuses on demonstrating the importance of these verses on the cosmos in strengthening rational and contemplative faith, and their role in bridging science and religion. Furthermore, it seeks to highlight the rational scientific approach in Shi'a commentaries, which do not reject science but rather engage with it within a monotheistic framework.
