Investigation of the First Indication: (On the Justice of the Necessary Being, and the Infallibility of the Prophets) from the Manuscript (The Piercing Meteor in Stoning the Deviant Nasibis) by Sheikh Abdul-Hussein Mubarak Al-Jazairi Al-Najafi (d. 1364 AH)

Abstract

This critical edition is an investigative effort in which the researcher seeks to extract the scholarly insights and subtle nuances contained within manuscript traditions. These insights represent the intellectual summary of one of the prominent scholars of the Imamiyyah school, the erudite Sheikh Abdul-Hussein, son of Sheikh Jawad Al Mubarak al-Jaza'iri al-Najafi (d. 1364 AH). The author entrusted these ideas within the folds of his manuscript titled "The Piercing Meteor in Stoning the Deviant Enemies." This manuscript encompasses a collection of theological issues and foundational doctrines of the Imamiyyah school, covering divinity, prophecy, and eschatology, which he structured into an introduction, three signs, and a conclusion. In this research, we have undertaken the critical editing of the First Sign, which pertains to "the Justice of the Necessary Being and the Infallibility of the Prophets." We have followed the established methodology of critical editing, which includes verifying and segmenting the text, sourcing and documenting references, clarifying ambiguities, providing concise biographies for certain prominent figures, and highlighting the author’s efforts along with his rational and textual proofs. This endeavor was executed with utter scholarly integrity, free from mistranscription and distortion. Our final words are: Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.
