Abstract

This research examines the mechanisms of stimulating thinking in the Quranic discourse by employing the concept of brainstorming as a methodological description of the approaches adopted by the Holy Quran in arousing and activating the mind, rather than imposing a modern term upon a divine text. The research proceeds from the premise that the Holy Quran does not address its recipient through direct assertion, but rather places him before intellectual stimuli that drive him to think, compare, and draw conclusions independently, making the resulting understanding deeper in effect and more firmly rooted in the soul than knowledge received directly and ready-made. The research selected the styles of Quranic parables and social divine laws as two applied models of this approach, as they represent among the most prominent Quranic methods that stimulate the recipient to reflect, take heed, and connect causes with outcomes, ultimately building a free intellectual awareness that transforms into behavioral commitment grounded in certainty rather than imitation.
