The research deals with the personality of the teacher Daoud Sliwa, the privileged owner and founder of the Baghdadi newspaper, Sada Babel, who is considered one of the elite educated personalities in Iraq at the time through his extensive culture and writings in the field of politics, history, literature and general culture, where he worked on publishing his newspaper after the political changes that occurred in the Ottoman Empire after The Revolution of Union and Progress against the rule of Sultan Abdul Hamid II, which raised the slogans of freedom and equality. This newspaper was founded in Baghdad in 1909 AD and continued to be published on a weekly basis for six years until 1914 AD, when the Ottoman authorities in Baghdad closed it and the rest of the local newspapers after the outbreak of the war first world, This newspaper was publishing detailed news of the events that were taking place at the time, and also publishing laws and instructions issued by the Ottoman authorities. Thus, it is an important source for the modern history of Iraq, neighboring regions, and the world.
