The water balance of the Greater Al-Majar River was studied through the relationship between its annual water revenue and the water requirements for various agricultural purposes, domestic uses, drinking, and livestock requirements, noting that there are no industrial water requirements due to the stopping of all factories in the region. It was found that the water revenue of the river varies from year to year. Based on the characteristics of the water year (wet, medium, dry), the highest annual water revenue was recorded in 1988, reaching (4.44 billion/m3), while the lowest water revenue was recorded in 2012 (0.22 billion/m3) for the period from 1985 -2012. Agricultural requirements constitute the largest amount of water needs, reaching (101,085,239) m3/year, which is equivalent to 93.5% of the total general water needs, followed by household needs (6,817,404) m3/year, equivalent to 6.3%, then livestock needs (134,854). m3/year) equivalent to 0.2%. The final result is that the water balance of the Greater Al-Majar River amounted to (+111,962,503 m3/year), which is what remains of the water in the Greater Al-Majar River.
