Abstract

Jihad is one of the pillars of the true Islamic religion, and jihad was imposed on Muslims after they were threatened by their enemies from the polytheists who were plotting to destroy Islam and Muslims. And it was necessary to take an inevitable stand to fight the Quraish, so the first combative steps that Muslims could take, after what they saw of torture, looting and confiscation of money, is to attack the commercial convoys of the Quraish heading to the Levant, and this was the beginning.Victory was theirs. Were it not for the Muslims’ jihad, they would not have imposed their prestige, and Islam would not have spread.

One of the reasons for this victory was the true faith that filled the hearts of Muslims, their faith in their religion and their Noble Prophet.

Since that time, Muslims have been ready to defend the land and honor. The fatwa of the reference was issued in the Twentieth Revolution. The people struggled with colonialism and took their spiritual and religious reference as a guide and directive to move forward in resisting the occupation. And the weapon.

And here is history repeating itself with Mr. Al-Sistani's call for a fatwa of jihad against ISIS organizations

that wreaked havoc in the land, and the Iraqis responded, as did their ancestors, so they responded to the call of the rational reference, sacrificing their pure souls and their pure blood.

After this introduction, I would like to show the plan that I followed in the research, as shown in the first topic:

The concept of jihad in Islam.

The second topic dealt with the controls and provisions of jihad.

As for the third topic: it focused on the fatwa of Sayyid al-Sistani, the reasons for the fatwa, and its results.

The research ended with the results it reached.
