Modern Educational Yhought Among Imami Clergymen :Hibatu Deen A-Shahrustain As an Example

The Islamic sects varied and differed in their explanations, with their agreement on the basic principles of the da’wah, due to the difference of minds, their educational attainment, and the resulting interpretations. So, there appeared men who specialized in educational thought, and among them was Mr. Heba al-Din al-Shahristani in the school of Ahl al-Bayt, peace be upon them, and his presence in the modern era, a researcher in the traditions and customs that exist in Iraqi society Between criticizing and rejecting heresies, and constructing new educational buildings that are compatible with the era of modernity in which he lived. It was what was called for by the existence of a good ruler to build society and the nation. Without a good ruler, the nation will inevitably follow the paths of abyss and ruin. Mr. Heba Al-Din Al-Shahristani assumed educational positions in the first Iraqi government after the establishment of the new Iraq state. Through his position, he tried to change or reduce some of the British colonial control over the educational system in Iraq, despite the hard and violent fighting from the other side. Mr. Heba al-Din al-Shahristani’s field was not only with the government, but also had connections in the religious system. He was a prominent religious reference within the Al al-Bayt School. He called, in this religious position, to refine some of the outdated customs and traditions experienced by Iraqi society by adopting the education of individuals to read and write, opening schools and emphasizing concepts The educational and ethical sober adopted by the Islamic religion within its intellectual system, so he issued the scientific journal, trying to move the Iraqi individual mind and its preoccupation with science after a period of stagnation and decline. He also worked to open scientific and literary societies.
