Literary thefts are one of the most important issues of literary and Arab criticism, ancient and modern, as it has occupied critics more than any other issue, and the emergence of the poet Abi Tammam and the animosity that revolved around him - as most critics say - a major role in highlighting the issue of literary thefts, which had an important role in enriching Arab literary criticism, as it influenced Arabic literature and helped to develop both of them, and its importance comes in the fact that it deals with the most important thing that critical and literary studies seek to define, know and emphasize, which is the originality of what the writer produces, whether a poet or a writer.
