Investment in human capital and the requirements of transformation towards the digitization of the knowledge economy: an applied study at the University of Kufa - College of Administration and Economics

Most business organizations are now looking for methods, means and strategies that can contribute to moving them towards the knowledge economy and raise its indicators. Perhaps talking about investing in human capital as one of the most important of these strategies has become inevitable in light of scientific and technological developments. Interest in capital has increased. Human investment is greatly needed to confront the shortage of resources and natural wealth on the one hand, and human investment, which is capable of making a major shift in innovation and development on the other hand, because it possesses the skills and desire to work is a crucial element for achieving productive efficiency, and this requires the Business organizations use and maintain highly skilled and distinguished human resources.
Hence, this research came as an attempt aimed at shedding light on an important and vital topic represented by human capital and ways of developing and investing it, and arriving at a perspective that focuses on its concept and importance in meeting the requirements of the transition towards a knowledge economy, through studying the relationships that connect its components and their impact on raising the level of economic indicators. Knowledge . This was applied by randomly selecting a sample of (43) individuals from the professors of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Kufa. The model was tested according to Structural Relationship Modeling (SEM) using the (LISREL 8.8) program, and the hypotheses were tested using linear regression using the (SPSS) program. V.18), a set of conclusions have been reached, the most important of which are: that investment in human capital makes an effective contribution to achieving the requirements of the transition towards a knowledge economy, and raises its indicators, and that there is a weakness in training and empowerment of human resources, and in light of the conclusions that were reached I presented some recommendations to her.
